Name: Jubilation Lee Alias: Jube, Jubilee, Nightblast Location: Xavier’s Base Affiliation: X-Men Age: Unknown. Estimated at about 19 or 20 Significant Others: None Known Height: 5'5" Weight: 105 lbs. Eyes: Blue Hair: Black Strength Level: Jubilee possesses the normal human strength of a girl of her age, height, and build who engages in intensive regular exercise.
Known Superhuman Powers: Jubilee is a mutant with the superhuman ability to generate what she calls her "fireworks:" energy globules that vary in degrees of power and intensity. The globules obey her mental control, traveling where she directs them, arranging themselves in balls, streamers, and other shapes, and exploding when she wishes. These combinations may result in anything from a multitude of colorful sparkles capable of temporarily blinding a person to a fairly powerful detonation, capable of smashing tree trunks or metal objects. She can absorb these "fireworks" back into her own body without harm to herself.
History: Not much is known about Jubilation Lee, aka Jube, or Nightblast. It is believed that she grew up somewhere in California, abandoned or orphaned at a young age. Her world is desolate, savage area where humanity has long since died out and mutant villages make war upon each other in the streets of destroyed cities. The X Men survived the “end of the world” and so did the mansion, and are regularly engaged in battle by groups of mutants seeking to take the Xavier Estate as their own territory. The X Men frequently not only push out the invaders, but also track down and destroy the bigger threats.
During one of these tracking missions the X Men found Jubilee locked in a bomb-bunker, attempting to blow up the bunker from the inside out. Gambit was the X Man to find and free her, and almost immediately upon meeting him Jube started to seduce him, convincing him to sponsor her for joining the X Men, thus earning her way into the Xavier estate. She apparently lived alone before that.
Jube is a sadistic, catty goth girl who frequently seduces and, when the mood takes her, kills. She often goes by her alias Nightblast, and even though she frequently skips out and ignores both missions and orders, she maintains her place in the mansion by Gambit’s complete and utter devotion to her, even though he also knows of her frequent indiscretions, and the X Men’s leaders suspect she may have infiltrated the X Men for unknown reasons or affiliations.
